Of all the things I love about fashion, its ability to give you shapeshifting powers is probably my favourite. All it takes is a few pieces to take me from my natural state - pajama-clad couch dweller - and turn me into whoever I want to be that day. Take this post for example; a slip dress, a ruffled collar blouse, and some heels and suddenly I'm a lady who doesn't know the meaning of the word 'slouch'.

I shot these with Yossy - an awesome blogger and equally awesome photographer - a few days ago. She suggested Paul Rothe & Son as the shoot location, a very pretty deli on Marylebone Lane. I didn't actually have a full outfit in mind when I said 'ooh that place is cute let's go with that one!', I just knew I wanted to wear the dress. While it's a lovely piece on its own, it takes the meaning of the word 'slip' a little too far sometimes and I currently don't have any double sided tape so putting on a shirt underneath is the safest way to go. Copper and black make a good match so I searched for a black shirt to pair the dress with. Cut to the morning of the shoot and I end up getting toothpaste on the t-shirt I originally planned on wearing. So much for being a sophisticated lady.

I also have to give a shoutout to Eve at Fearne Creative Design for my blog's makeover. I bought a template, asked for some tweaks, and she had the design ready in no time! If you're looking for a stunning blogger template, I can't recommend her enough.
