Just a quick update to say I've changed my blog name!

As much as I loved Put The Radio On, I just didn't think it was all that suited to the content on my blog. So from now on, this place will be known as Belle in Black and White. My social media usernames will be just that or variations of the name. Curse you maximum username field limits!

In the meantime, I'll still be posting every Sunday (and hopefully more than that soon). Some things around the blog might still be linked to old stuff but I'm in the process of updating everything. One thing I've had to change is my bloglovin link, so if you prefer to follow me on that then you can find it here.

Have a nice weekend everyone!

Is It Spring Yet?

Shirt - Monki (old), Skirt - Argyle Center, Mong Kok HK
So I finally jumped on the S/S 2015 hair cut bandwagon. I'd been meaning to get it cut for weeks and then the classic 'the hairdresser cut more than I had in mind' situation occured. After some time with it, I have to say it really has grown on me. PUNS! No? Okay I'll leave...

...But not until I've talked about this outfit. Being from the land of cold and rain, wearing spring time outfits during the actual season is quite a foreign concept. However, since I'm in Hong Kong this year, I can break out the spring wardrobe right about now! This skirt was a bargain at HKD $35 (about £2.93 according the current exchange rate) and the bold print makes it a great statement piece. I wore my blue Monki shirt to match the blue on the skirt and keep things colourful. I did end up still having to wear black tights since the weather's just not quite warm enough yet but here's looking forward to an actual spring!

Etude House Dear My Wish Lips-talk BE101 Review

It's almost guaranteed that if I walk into an Etude House I am not going to leave empty handed. This time I picked up a Dear My Wish Lips-talk lipstick in shade BE101 Chic Hollywood Beige. As someone who always immediately goes for the reds, I thought it was about time I try a more nude shade.

The packaging: There's no denying that Etude House is one of the kings of cute packaging. However, as much as I normally love their designs, I'm actually not the biggest fan of this tube. It is adorable though so I'm sure it will appeal to many people.

The colour: As someone who loves dark red shades, I was hesitant about trying a nude lipstick. I found this one to be just fine though since it isn't too light. I'd say it's a nude beige on the warmer side. This swatch has about 3 layers of the product though, so you can see it does build up!

The pigmentation: I was very impressed by how pigmented this lipstick is. My natural lip colour isn't very light but this lipstick covered them pretty easily! These are my lips with two layers on them.

The application: Creamy and easy to apply.

Overall: For someone who isn't into light lipstick shades, I'm surprised at how happy I am that I've added this to my collection. I think the colour suits my pale skin tone and the fact that it's so pigmented means I'll probably be repurchasing it.

Also, I'm very inexperienced with writing beauty reviews so if you have any comments, critiques or suggestions please let me know! I'd love to hear them and take them on board.

Shirt - Zara, Skirt - 3.3 Field Trip, Shoes - Touà Coup
As soon as I saw this pink wall I knew it had to be a background for an outfit post. The outfit itself was then chosen with background in mind. I went for the old black and white combo to avoid clashing (and because I live in black and white most of time). The skirt is from 3.3 Field Trip, which has become a favourite Korean brand of mine. I have a thing for houndstooth and the fact it was 50% off at A-Land meant there was no way I would be leaving without it. The shoes were another sale treat (although they weren't on sale...) but sadly I've lost one of the studs! Time for a trip to a haberdashery to find a replacement.

Taiwan Travel Diary Part 2: Taroko National Park

Back to the travel posts! During my time in Taiwan, my boyfriend and I took a trip to the east coast and visited Taroko National Park. Spending a few hours riding around the mountains was incredible! I should probably warn you now that this post is just a pic spam of mountains but I could not stop taking pictures of the scenery.
